John, a committed “People Skill Developer”, and a dedicated “Lifelong Learner”, is a much sought-after speaker, delivering highly successful seminars throughout Canada, the US, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
Over the last 30 years, John has written, developed and implemented numerous training programs, seminars, and workshops in the area of people skill development. He holds an MBA from Oxford University and is a certified CSP, a member of CSTD, TAC, Profiles International, Toastmasters, and Optimists International. He is also a certified ISO/QS auditor.
John served in the RAF, with overseas service in Libya and Saudi Arabia, and is a qualified Rolls-Royce Aero-Engine Gas Turbine Technician! He spent his post military career in Sales, Sales Management, and Training. He initially worked with Loctite Engineering Adhesives, and is very proud of his “Master Salesman of the Year” award. He then moved into Material Handling, as the UK Sales Manager for the world’s fifth largest forklift company – Steinbock/Lancer Boss. There, he developed a profitable UK network of distributors and dealers before being promoted to Field Sales Training Manager. In this position he developed numerous initiatives that brought solid, measurable results to the overall success of the company.
He also brings much management experience with him from his time as the National Field Sales Manager with Europe’s largest vending company (Polyvend).
Before coming to Canada in 1992, John was the Corporate Training Director at Dexion UK, the world’s largest manufacturer and supplier of shelving, storage, and pallet racking systems. John implemented numerous processes, including: Business Writing for Success, Continuous Improvement Processes, Kanban, Leadership, MBO, Negotiating to Win, Public Speaking Techniques. During this period John also implemented Total Quality Customer Care, Short Cycle Management, Time and Self-Management, and BS5750 Certification – the pre-runner to ISO and QS standards.
John worked with Canadian Bearings and Dun & Bradstreet before returning to the training environment in 1997, and establishing his organization; QCB Solutions. He has delivered result centered seminars or training programs for: The Royal Australian Air Force, Nucor Steel, John’son Controls, Terra Footwear, Tetra-Pak, Jay-Lor Manufacturing, M&M Meat Shops, Standard & Poors, Navs Canada, and the New York State Troopers. As a professional seminar leader he has delivered motivational seminars throughout the world, but now prefers to work only in Canada.
John is a highly successful coach and trainer, specializing in people skill growth and development. His dynamic and energetic deliveries ensure that everyone listens, learns, and implements the ideas, tactics, strategies, and skills immediately.
